    I like the look of the tunic, but then I find more unusual examples like this quite appealing - some people prefer more standard items. I think the interior lining of the tunic will provide some answers as to its origins and originality.

    I posted another unusual converted Waffenrock which I picked up in Germany last year. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I like the uniqueness of pieces like this which have obviously been customized by the individual soldier and show that nice day to day wear of a working uniform:

    Price-wise, it's hard to say from my perspective here in Europe as I think some items might be cheaper over here than in the US. As many say, it depends on what you are prepared to pay, but $2100 is way too much in this case.

      All, I got a look at the tunic in-hand yesterday - it is indeed a converted Waffenrock. I believe it was period done, but I passed on it as the askng price was just too damned high.
