I get an offer for this Gendarmerie Police eagle and like to know your opinion.
Is it an original or a fake eagle?

This is supposed to be a civil gendarmerie insignia. In my opinion, as a police collector, it is a reproduction. The embroidery, and pattern do not match any known period manufactured examples.
