It's a very oxidized bullion eagle, not worth a whole lot in that condition but it's original. I wouldn't call this silver bullion either. Some early war eagles were made with a higher content silver wire but this isn't one of them. MattComment

Many thanks for the comments, glad to know that it is original. I did not think the overall condition was too bad, it came from a British veteran and I doubt that he cared for it too much over the years. Perhaps it looked worse with the picture being taken in sunlight. These images are taken without sunlight.Comment
