M36 Officer's Uniform?

Recently acquired the uniform pictured below. Brought back as war booty by a GI in 1946. Trying to find out as much information as possible. I would especially like to know the date and place of manufacture and the rank. In the left front pocket, I also found the epaulet pictured below. Any information is appreciated. Thank You.

Super tunic. Enlisted to officer up-grade. Depot markins show "K38" Kassel 1938. The chest size is 90 CM. The lone shoulder strap is a shutz police nco strap. Steve

Very nice tunic. Typical upgrade tunic with new collar and boards. The tunic is shortened. The breeches is a typical private purchased one.

Interesting modifications. I'm guessing the bottom pockets were replaced over the belt hook holes?
