Hello,

This is a Reichsheer soldier, hence no eagle. He is wearing the small collar tabs that came out in 1928. To me it appears to either be by the darkness of the waffenfarbe to either be Artillery or pioneer.

I don't know when the Reichsheer started using it; but, the early signals Waffenfarbe was brown.
