If anyone can offer their expert opinions on this tunic I have to know by tomorrow whether or not I should purchase. It is an Infantry Leutenant's tunic with a silver/bronze tank destroyer badge. It also seems to have ample awards loops including the DK. I'm fairly certain the badge is authentic but have no way of discerning whether or not it's post-war. Any Opinions??? The tunic itself is in extremely good condition.

TDB on Uniform
The Tank Destruction Badge is NOT from the WWII period. Errors:
1. Silver brocade is not made of correct material.
2. Black borders are too narrow and should slant left to right //////.
3. Fieldgrey wool backing material is wrongly applied - overlaps badge front.
4. Tank appears to be made of a nonferrous metal.Comment

Hi, I would agree with Tim's points about the tank destruction badge. But I would like to add that the breast eagle is a replacement; just look at the awful hand stitching.

Stitching on TD badge & eagle are not only terrible, but appear to have been done by the same hand.
However, if you can buy it cheap and the TD badge hasn't been on long enough to cause a shadow, could be a nice tunic to restore.Comment
