Thoughts on this Lithuanian Volunteer shield?
Lithuanian shields were often worn by local Schuma an Polizei troops
and locally hand crafted...so hard to judge!

I've been trying to get one for my collection too, but they are hard to find and when one finds it, its priced over the top

Nick, yours is fake. I have seen it for sale in couple of places. Real ones look different, see pictures for comparison.

Good detective work. Similar backside damage even....The staining (on the letters on my example)
was artificially done than....
Mine came from the "original" WW2 section... but from a different seller (US based)
and fortunately not much more expensive, so I took a chance on it...no harm done!
