    SS Legion Flandern shield ?

    Hi gents

What are your opinions about this shield I found on a flea-marked yesterday ? I have no idea if it could be a good or fake, possibly SS-Legion Flandern ? I think it is a copy or post war insignia. I don't like the tail but I am far an expert on this... What are you thoughts on this one ?

    Thank you,

I believe it may be from the period but not worn on Heer uniforms. You might put it on the SS Forum.

I see I've put it in the wrong forum section. Can I move this threat to the SS section myself ? Thank you

Does not conform with any of the patterns worn by members of the division. It may be old but, I agree, a copy.

Here are all the known pattern Flemish shields!

Here's a home made one that I recently picked up. Copied after a BeVo shield for NSKK (but might also be for OT)
See 2nd row third example in link!

and this is also a handy link for studying the various known and recognized Flemish shield types!

I looked at the links, I don't believe this one to be original:

also not sure about this one, could be a post war tourist patch:
