Private purchase Gabardine tunic to NCO medic

Hello,

I would like to present this tunic to you;

Unteroffizier sanitäter, made in France, the label inside says Bopp-Leon, Civic et Militaire, 42, Rue Négrier, Lille, and a space for writing the owners name (unreadable) and 194_ for the year.

I do believe the tunic to be real, but I do believe that the collar-patches have been replaced or changed. But I cannot tell if it was period done.

Buttons are not the normally seen type - but that would not be surprising I think.

Please have a look and let me hear your opinion..

Everything looks good to me, too!

By the way, it is not gabardine but is Trikot ("the weave that behaves like a knit"). It's a squirmy fabric that is difficult to work with, thus the less-than-straight stitching on the chest pockets. Even as that, I always marvel at the craftsmanship of the old German tailors!
