Dear Schuasta,
there is plenty of cloth versions used as liner in M43 and M44 Keilhose. To assure You that yours were not fixed by adding new liner I would need better pics. I enclosed shots of liner used in my pair (white around waist and grey at ankle areas) as You can see totally different BUT still just one from large amount of material which has been used:
