Late war 3rd pattern tropical jacket that has been stripped of its insignia
Personally I would pass on this and save your money towards a 1st or 2nd pattern

Original 3rd pattern tropical jacket - good for making manequin in Italy but definately not for North Africa campaign.

Agree, roughly stripped late model third pattern tunic. While a few of the 3rd patterns (not '44 dated obviously) did see some service in Tunisia, it was too late for the DAK. Much more widely used in the Med Theatre. Not the best i've seen.....

I think it would be ok to remind about fightings in summer 1944 in the south of France, for example. I even remember about a famous picture taken in September 1944 during the Metz battle, with 2 officers speaking together - one of them wearing a tropical uniform.

Nice jacket, but don't pay too much for it... last time, as you said, it was really too expensive (>800 EUR if I am not mistaken...)
