This faker did mess up applying a 1939 depot date + RBNr stamp...
however this is not always an issue!
Sometimes early uniforms were repaired, re-sized (altered) and reissued and could have early stamps and a later added RBNr code,
not always an automatic red flag...but in this case it is of course done in error on a fake uniform!
The early breast eagle on the other hand does match that date well! The faker did do his homework here...but failed with the stamps!!

This uniform was found 30 years ago without insignia in a clothing depot in Germany. Since that time the owner recollected the insignia and tried to restore the jacket. Was not a collector. That's why the poor job on putting back the breast eagle. The red flags for me on this jacket are the double stitching on the interior pockets, the '39 depot stamp together with the RBNR and the rounded flaps together with the vertical front.
Also on the interior (shoulder part), no reinforcement, like the "cheese cloth" has been used. Perhaps like NickG a reissued 'older' jacket. Who may tell?

by the way is "A" not a foreign depot (Amsterdam)? How should they be able to produce for Germany before 1940?
