    M36 Fieldblouse opinions

    Hello,

I,m planning to restore this salty combat tunic.
But first i need some help to find out wich model exacly it is.
Model date is between 1933-1939 i guess looking at the stamp
Collartabs are probaly replaced postwar as i can see traces of other tabs
I think the tunic saw heavy duty and has send to a repair unit as it have several repairs and a new lower pocket.
The hook to close the collar has some extra cloth to cover it when worn open
Maybe you can see wich model breast eagle was worn by the shadow.
Not a minty or complete tunic but i like it a lot
    Opinions and suggestions are welcome
    Thanks

Great thanks for your quick reply,

What kind of medals would be on the tunic you can see clearly that it was a round one by the colour of the cloth so maybe a woundbadge or assault badge
I also will post a extra image of a collartab how its applied.

A true combat veteran IMO! My advice to you would be to use the search function and search M36, you will probably have a thousand threads to look over and choose how you want to restore this tunic.
just be sure not to use minty looking insignia! you will want collar tabs sewn onto a wool backing to cover the shadow left from the poorly resewn tabs on it now.

There is enough reference about the M36 here on the forum
It would be not that difficult to find the proper insignia and you are right about the collartabs, these one will be removed.
                            Thanks

                              Hello,

The proper insignia for me would be a :

                              1) Grey on dark green eagle.

                              2) Green on grey backed collar tabs.

                              3) Pointed or rounded end slip on dark green boards.

                              Here are some examples:
