            US Frankenstein

            A pair of 1. Model Feldbluse shoulder straps for a student at the Unteroffizier Schule Frankenstein. The silver piping denotes the wearer was a Kapitulantenantwaerter and had signed up for an extended enlistment such as 12 years and became an NCO candidate in the process.

            The picture shows the straps before the modification.

                          allegedly from 25 Kradschuetzen Abteilung, a part of 4 Gebirgs Division. wish i had bought the entire lot, which included a bunch of gebirgs photos and miscellaneous gebirgs stuff.

                              hi matt. these came out of germany a couple of years ago. i should have saved the photos of the lot. the guy who sold them shot me a oob for the unit. i'll see if i can copy it to this post. ok. got it
                              m 15. November 1940 wurde die Division motorisiert und danach als 25. Infanterie-Division (mot.) bezeichnet. Dabei wurden das Infanterie-Regiment 13 als Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 13 und die I. Abteilung des Artillerie-Regiments 25 als I. Abteilung des Gebirgs-Artillerie-Regiments 94 zur 4. Gebirgs-Division abgegeben und die I. Abteilung des Artillerie-Regiments 61 aufgelöst. Außerdem erhielt die Division das Kradschützen-Bataillon 25. Diese Umbildung war am 15. März 1941 abgeschlossen.
