Gebrigsjager Officer Waffenrock Opinions

I would welcome opinions on this Waffenrock, it sold for $1250.00 but there appears to be some issues: The green piping seems to be too dark for a Gebirgsjager, yet the collar tabs and shoulder boards are much lighter in color giving a two tone affect. Something I have not seen before , the edelweiss is machine sewn. Thank you in advance to everyone that responds.

The greens will very in color and also sometimes colors that matched perfectly 70 years ago now are different. It could be all original. There also is of course a chance it was an Admin piped tunic that was incorrectly or intentionally restored as GJ to enhance value or by mistake. Early GJ often is the same color as later Admin/HV. I have some GJ tunics where there are notable color differences that can be seen but this one is very pronounced. It needs a hands on really to look for evidence of earlier insignia etc.

The edelweiss is hand embroidered for an officer and very finely hand sewn to the tunic. Nothing looks wrong there.

I would like to see a better photo of the piping.
Admin tunics are often reworked to Jäger/Gebirgsjäger.
