Converted French Tropical Shirt

Hi guys, I posted my tunic so I thought I would post the shirt I got at the same time 40+ Years ago. The boards have been on and off this shirt in the last few years, but were on the shirt when I got it. Hope you like it! Your comments and opinions are always appreciated.

Hi John,
Can we see how the boards are attached? I'm just confirming this a German conversion...I'd normally expect to see the breast pocket buttons to be typical German pebbled buttons attached with S rings as well...
