    M37 Officers Heer? Tunic

    Gentlemen,

Would you please let me know what you think about about this tunic? The tailor label is from Roger Kauert. I did find some basic information on the tailor at www.uniformsandtraditions.com

Is it common for fakers to affix original tailor labels to bump there sale? Im not an expert on German tunic so would appreciate your consideration.
the SS site of a M36/37 converted with slash pockets and a shortened skirt. Anyway and advice, pointers would be helpful. Thanks.

I don't like this tunic . Not sure what it originally was but it is certainly not what it pretends to be

      .

Very bad fake tunic! Nothings fits together.
A EM/NCO tunic in officer style with loops for the DKiG
and typical heer 3 hook holes? Also wrong lining!

        There was someone creative.

        Cheers,

I think it may have started life as a zoll or Police tunic, it would need to be pre-1945 or post 1989 with a tailor-tag for a business in both East and West Germany etc. . The pictures are not that great but the proportions are odd and it looks like it has been heavily modified to make it look like a WWII era SS/SS VT tunic.

Whatever it is, based on the tag (if original to the garment) it's definitely not post war as Hamburg (West Germany) and Dresden (East Germany) are BOTH listed on the same label...
Germany not split yet... but that is based on the mis-leading tag... Most likely post war like BGS (West German) with a civilian (prewar) tailor label added to make it more promising
            (or rather confusing)

Wow Nick, how did you figure the East and West Germany thing out? Do you read other peoples posts or just look at the pictures lol?

You know (I chuckled) because I never read your post...I had that thread open already and it was not updated yet on my computer with your input...
ONLY after posting my reply (eager to analyze it and provide an opinion myself without refreshing it) did it update... So than I noticed you actually came up with a similar explanation 20 minutes earlier... I left mine "as is" and had a feeling you would comment! Oh well!
