These insignia all come from Hiscoll Military Antiques. They all look good to me but I'm no expert by any means. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Hi Chris,

I posted a metal jager cap badge last year for comment, and people posted pics of several types of this badge, in various metals, with various fastenings. It might be interesting to look at, if you like these badges:

There seems to be a consensus / accepted legend that the type of metal jager cap badge you posted was found in boxes at the end of the war. I think some collectors are unsure about them, but most seem to accept them as original. One style that seems universally accepted as original is a zinc one, with long flat 'pins', pointed at the end (it is shown in the first post in the thread above). I wish I had bought it - it was on the estand, and by the time I went back, it was gone!

Thanks for your help guys.

The reason why I'm looking to purchase some Jager items is because I had a relative who was a Feldwebel with the 97 Jager division. So I'm building a display in his remembrance, he was killed April 20, 1945.
