    Heer specialty patches

Here are my specialty patches of the German Army.
They have been fun to collect, and, for the most part, not expensive.
Back in the day, I found many of them in "junkl boxes" at shows.
When time permits, I'll post my Luftwaffe specialty patches.
Anyone wanting close ups or reverse photos, feel free to Email me.

As a (specialty) patch collector I can say you have a very nice set there, with some hard to find patches among them!

The steuerman badge, with metal insignia, is another I would love to own.

The driver's specialty patch may be KM.

                    Thank you for the compliments.
Ramsey: re: the drivers specialty patch (eagle over radiator),
it's always been an enigma; Angolia calls it a "false production" piece
(I suppose since it closely parallels the Luftwaffe issue).
Where did you get the info / notion that it's KM?

I can find no mention of such a patch in either Heer or KM references, just a suggestion nothing more.

I can only echo what others have said; great collection, and - like Bob H. - I love that bullion Richtkanonier patch. I would guess it was made for a waffenrock, or maybe to jazz up a 'walking out' tunic. Very interesting to see the range and variation in all of these patches, many thanks for posting them.

                          All the best,

                          Mark

Mr. V, I love those Steuermann sleeve badges!
                            My favorite of all time.

                              Hello Chris,

Rows 4 and 5 of your last picture are impressive!!!! Yellow Cog wheel, FP, FB, TS, RS, Farrier Instructor, V and Drivers Badge. A lot of short lived patches that turned into shoulder boards. I am always on the look out for any of these with very little luck. The false production drivers badge is nice too.

How long was the V used? I thought this was dropped in the early 30's and lumped in with all the admin insignia. To me, in gold on dark green, this would be a false production patch also. I know the Luftwaffe still used the V.

Great collection with a super selection of manufacturing techniques. Can you give us a shot of the backs of these?? Thanks.

                              Fred
