          Love those Steuermann badges!

          You have two that I've never seen before.

            Thank you for the nice comments!
            Collecting today can be extremely costly; a nice once common tunic or helmet can bring close to $1000!
            As mentioned these are fun to collect - many different varieties and best of all,
            very inexpensive! They can be found at virtually every show, and at low prices!
            Some collectors still refer to them simply as "patches" and have no knowledge which are common and which are rare...
            I would recommend any collector with a limited budget to consider these;
            The Luftwaffe had them also and these should be considered as well.
            Contact me directly if you have an interest in these overlooked pieces.
            Collecting should be fun, and not cost an "arm & a leg" either!!

                Old thread but I have to say I'm glad you posted it. Very nice stuff. My one and only Steuermann badge is very similar to the top row, third from left and the top row last on the right. Although the backing cloth is like the one third from left.

                I purchased it in person from Jim Haley back in late 2002 when we lived close by each other in Germany.

                  Hello ,

                  I just saw Jim last year in Germany. Chatted with him on Face book Monday.
