Generalleutnant Walter Behschnitt. This is his upgraded Reichswehr infantry tunic, Holter's label dated 1932.

I had the ribbon bar made up to reflect his awards.

This tunic is named to Generalmajor Hermann Bacher. Bacher was born on 18 March 1889 and entered the Austrian Army as a Fähnrich in a Pionieer Battalion on 18 August 1909. After service during the First World War he was retained on active duty and was transferred into the German Army as a lieutenant colonel on 15 March 1938 after the annexation of Austria. He participated in the invasion of Poland and saw action on the Eastern Front. He was promoted to colonel on 1 April 1939 and to generalmajor on 1 December 1942. He was awarded the German Cross in Gold on 4 August 1943. He was taken into Soviet captivity on 8 May 1945, acquitted of war crimes, and released 27 July 1948. Generalmajor Bacher died on 6 October 1964 in Salzburg.

That's just sweet. The breast work 'almost' looks like they were making a Diplomatic bird. Love the toning. Outstanding - thanx!
