It looks quite convincing (the base tunic is original imo). Are there any shots of the eagle?

I agree, it looks to be a nice original tunic, litzen is definately period applied and the boards look a perfect match to tunic as if they have been made/cut from the same bolt of matarial. Do you have a clear pic of the breast eagle?

          Regards

            A really nice early tunic

Looks like a Jager jacket trying to be a DAK tunic. Agree need better photos of the eagle. And would like to see more under the pocket flaps and buttonholes unbuttoned & tressse also. Like the material match between the tunic and straps. A very nice piece.

A good looking tunic - litzen look 100% period - when the tress was applied is another matter. There appears minimal wear to the tunic over-all?
I'd also like to see the depot stamp and clear shots of the eagle (front and back) to evaluate when that may have been applied if you are happy to share those?
              Regards,

The eagle is a replacement and Sunny already knows this. He bought this tunic from me. The original eagle had been removed so I applied a spare original eagle to it. The rest of the tunic is quite nice with light wear and came as is but with a badly applied fake eagle.

Good to know you guys like this tunic because that is my impression too. As Mark already said the eagle is a replacement and he did a good job with it cause it look very nice on the tunic. Even he will provide the S-rings in order to replace the ones in the tunic. Thanks again for this Mark. The tunic also came with a pair of 1st model boots. It was a nice one of a hell big brown box when I opened it.
                    Great Akikan experience.
Know I am looking for a 1st model hat with some wear on it.

And also I will provide all the pictures you guys asked.

                    Thanks for the comments

                      Thanks Mark,
I thought it looked replaced - thanks for confirming this.

Great looking Gebirgsjäger tropical tunic...perhaps from 2. Gebirgsjäger Kompanie/Sonderverband 288.

                        Horrido!
