They are schuetzen oir schule depending on the application.

The silver gothic "S" is either for Schutzen or School depending on the way applied and or the boards. The silver is for EM/NCOs and the Gold for officers. If the S cypher is followed by a numeral I would say for early Schutzen Rgt. but if its just a S on a board its for School. They are not ovelry common to find. Matt
