    gebirgsager 's tunic opinion?

    hello guys,
i would like to have your opinion about this one !
the eagle was sewn post war because he was removed at the end of the war
    looks original to me
    best regards

That is quite a large section of fabric cut out and replaced around the eagle that is on it now.

Jacket looks OK,collar tabs look like original sewing.IMO

This one would be hard to sell if you ever needed to with that repair, I myself would look for another one.

thank you glenn ,ok good point that the jacket and collar are original
here is a close up of the "repaired" part
ok kevin i will think about that but if the price is faire i'll maybe go for it
any range of price for a tunic in this condition?
and what is an acceptable price for a good one?

For me seeing the tunic has major visible damage repaired, I would offer what the insignia and shoulder straps are worth and perhaps a bit more for the tunic as it is.

This tunic would not make it for me as a mannequin or half bust display piece in its repaired condition and if I bought it on a impulse, I would not be happy with it when the newness wore off. decent looking restored HBT tunics come up often for sale.

          Hope this was helpful?

I would like to see better pictures of the boards. The patch for the eagle is odd. but as noted a probable repair later. The edelweiss is "riding high" There are period photos of tunic worn like this like that but very rare. I love the stamps. The 69th AR was a GJ artillery unit but I have never seen late War stamps like that.

              Hello
              Thank you guys!
Your comments helps me a lot!

the guy is asking 450 $ ,he gave 800$ for it...
the cutted eagle is the original one he was in the pockets when he bought it
i'm still hesitant about purchasing it because i don't have any idea about the price of a "mint" one!
my finger is on the trigger shoul i pull it ?that is the question ..

              some more pictures of it

              Best regards

                fake boards.

I have an italian tunic converted into german style for 79 gbj art regt. They were in Italy so that makes sense. interesting unit markings.

It's got a huge post-war repair on the front. It might be worth $450 to someone looking for a tunic to display under a smock where the repair would not show. But I think that is top dollar for this piece because of that big repair around the eagle.

I personally would not pay $450 for it.

                      So
                      Fake boards
big repair wich make it hard to sell
the only good point is the markings
i'll follow your advices and let it go
450 $ is defitenitly too high priced for a beautifull marking
thanks again guys for your enlightments
i'll wait for a better one
                      best regards
