    Lw fielduniform, what kind of boots?

    Hi!
    I have a question, hope you can help me.
    Got a pair of m42 fieldtrousers with a matching lw fieldtunic. Did the soldiers have these trousers stucked into the boots or were they lose on the outside? My problem is that they are to short on my mannequinn so I need to have them inside...

    Officersboots i think?, not a perfect match for a fielduniform?
    Should I look for combatboots maybe?

    hello karl,

    i think it would be better if you have combat boots, buy yourself a pair of gaiters if you want, so the trousers can be pulled into the field gaiters.

    Of course you can wear officer type boots if your tunic is an higher NCO; our Officer.

            Hi Karl-Johan,
            so glad you've bought Gerd's uniform;tunic was Jack Melvin's and trousers(much rarer than the tunic) were mine....it's a nice outfit and it deserves the right footwear!LW Tropical boots would be the icing on the cake(these uniforms were conceived as tropical ones in the first place but they saw extensive use on the Italian Front as well!),but a pair of ankle boots,a pair of bergschuhe or a pair of KNOBELBECHER (better watch our Ps ans Qs here, before some former tovarich-I miss the"Wall" and the Iron Curtain big time...very useful to keep some people at bay- pops out and report the mistake to the teacher!) would fill the bill just as well!

              great tunic, cool pants , never had any HBT pants before, i guess that derpsiess is correct, take some EM knobelbecher , easyer to find and cheaper then tropical boots.



              forget the Officers booots, that a no way.

              have fun with the nice uniform
