Yesterday I saw a Reichswehr artillery tunic for sale with stone gray pants for $1,250. I don't have any pictures of it. It had gold buttons and it had an early Nazi eagle on it. I feel as if that was a good price for this tunic and I didn't get it. I am just wondering if this price was a steal or not. I know that it was 100% original too. I am just curious because I want to know for future references. Thank you!

Sometimes they patina almost gold but they should be field grey or silver. Depending on the rank the price was decent if it was straight but if the buttons were replaced it would lower value etc. Were the pants piped red?Comment

So if it was all RH it would have been a private purchase tailor made set with a piped service tunic and the price if everything was okay would be about right if it was in good condition etc. but if it had gold buttons that is already one red flag. RH trousers are more rare than jackets and it sounds interesting but without photos it is pretty hard to figure it out or say much.Comment

In the end I should have gotten it when I had the chance. Hopefully there will be some good uniforms at the MAX show this year.Comment
