I do not believe that this is German tress. German tress, at least for the Heer and SS, had small diamonds in the pattern. German Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine had a linear pattern. I will post some examples later.

I have not seen this before either. The cloth looks fuzzy too like it may be modern. You can see the styles of original WWII German tresse at the bottom of this page-
