The double stitch line can be an indicator of a repro.

...and so are the markings and liner fabric shown in the example that started this thread.

Thank you to you for your answers. You confirm that no authentic wrapper has double-stitched?

I don't believe anyone has confirmed that.

Leroy, can you show an exemple of original feldgrau Heer cut wrap, showing this particular caracteristic of double row of stiching for the internal pockets ?
Personaly i don't, but i would love to see one.
I know that into few original wraps, sometimes internal pockets have a double row of stiching parallel with the edge of access sides only, but not like this one on the 3 other sides.
                I'm always ready to learn.

Derka - I am unaware of any such pieces and was only noting that when 'sporster' said "You confirm that no authentic wrapper has double-stitched?", the truth was that no one had said that in this thread (at least so far).

If that statement is true, the "wrap gurus" here (you, Mssrs. Singer, Davis, OSS, etc., etc.) who have seen hundreds of wraps, should be able to confirm it definitively.

Sorry Leroy, i misunderstood your point, and thank you for clarification.
So about this question of double row of stiching for internal pockets in Heer wraps, it was for instance already discussed (among others) and illustrated in this thread :

                    PS : i'm certainly not a "wrap guru" !
