Could I please have some opinions about the authenticity of this tropical eagle and litzen? I have no other photos, and this is the biggest resolution I have.

They look ok JL. A bit of a shame about the damage to the eagle but it looks like an original application and definitey worth keeping on there. Just fix up that pocket since it appears to have come away/been torn away, which is what would have caused the damage to the eagle.

Very early originally applied eagle & litzen, Jean-Loup. A repair would be well worth the effort if taken with care and the rest of the tunic is in reasonable condition.
Highly collectable....

beautiful and very desireable bone white tunic! As the others said, look to be original application and if you ever get it put a few stitches on that pocket. Matt
