I have seen this type of ring with a DAK motif on the face before, this one may have been a period souvenir also manufactured for tourists.

for some reason only 1 pic is loading for me but its a known original Italian pattern. Not DAK persay, could be bought by anyone but they are very nice rings and desireable. Matt

Many of the theatre made rings in North Africa, whether made for German, American, or British troops came from Italy as "blanks" and were then adorned with motif's aimed at whichever occupier was currently in the area.

I recently acquired a nice DAK ring with the same Italian silver & 800 marks as the one in this thread. I've also had them for US & British forces.

I agree. I have one that was made into a German style ring and it has British markings on the backside. They were made for which ever group held the area at that time. Tunis or Tunisia ext.. Matt

Many fake rings on this thread like the ones flooding the market from Germania International.

It would have to have some provenance otherwise it really takes a leap of faith. They are still making these and there are just too many fakes out there....

Mine has been tested by a jeweller, and is definately made of silver and gold. Not some cheap lightweight copy, the gold and silver alone is worth £200 just in the scrap value. I paid nothing for the ring, as i inherited it!
