It looks like the Obgefr. rank was achieved by sewing tresse directly to the tunic rather than the typical triangular chevron on backing.

My friend Nordsudeten gave me a nice deal for the tunic which i couldn't refuse so i am posting some more pics here instead of starting a new thread
After close inspection in hand i must say that no bleaching IMO was used to fade the interior of the tunic. It is faded but not as much as the exterior. It has a darker hue inside. You can clearly see it in this picture:

Next to my other Heer tropical tunic i got this summer. Also stripped unfortunately but i like it's color. I will post it in another thread.
