- Would this illustrated example be of pre 45 era?

- Silver wired or just soiled?

I believe it is pre-war Hungarian or Bulgarian, but it is not German.

Thanks for the info. My profound research results conclude that these are tough to determine pre 45.

Rob, the devil is in the shape of the ferrules - the German ones shown by John are the correct ones with the oakleaf/laurel motif on them.
