I'm not impressed with the shoulderstraps at all. They look like fakes to me.
The twill doesn't like correct, the backing material on the tongues is wrong and the button holes just don't look right.
Compare the twill of the straps with that of the tunic, they should be just about the same.

Tropical Tunic 1st pattern
Hi Guys
Picked up this Tropical Tunic as part of a group lot that i purchased.
From the way it looks it Tick's all the right boxes IMO, The only thing that i didnt really like was the backing on the sholder boards (see pics) It has Light /medium wear. & has makers mark & size markings but there faint (see pics).
I would like some more opions Please..

Considering that both the eagle and collar tabs are definitely replaced (the eagle is actually a fake), I would be more inclined to believe that this was a stripped tunic that has been restored. I don't believe that this one ever had skulls.

A very played with tunic. Eagle is a fake, the litzen re-sewn as is the tress, while the tunic has had a bogus RB# added for some reason... I see a '41' date on it so no chance of an RB#.
I have no doubts the sleeve band is not period sewn, either.
I hope the price was rational...?
