STUMPED- Unknown shoulder boards, possibley Polizei, army style?

I picked these up recently and thought they were pre-war mountain troops. A knowledgable collector I know, saw them and noticed the color was closer to the police green/blue than the early field gray M35 color of the Heer. I'm stumped. Any input? Has anyone seen another pair of know what they are? The came out of an estate sale in PA recently.

I also posted these in the police section.

Not Army, suggest you post on the Police forum. Sorry Girard I now see you have already done that.

        police shoulderboard

I have seen these army type boards on period photo, worn by police. Also seen board in live. Those boards enlisted soldier type without "tresse".

Could they be Austrian boards? They almost seem that color. Pipping is either police or jäger. Matt

            Hello,

The board color appears to be more of a police color to me. The tresse looks to be the Austrian type. Maybe these are Zoll for Austrian or German customs. My best guess.

I would recommend posting these also in the Luftwaffe flying section.

Tresse is Austrian.....this could be Standschutzen or some Heimwehr/ Home Guard Police type....quite plauible IMO.
