It is my opinion that the uniform being worn is a French WWII uniform that has had Heer insignia added. I saw one of these several years back that was offered for not that much money and I wish that I would have picked it up. The uniform is a brown color and the grey insignia does not match well. So it looks strange but I believe that this was done on a limited basis late in the war when such small details did not seem to matter.
