In fact, you can observe on period pics almost every option of wearing insignias on those wraps...

Thanks, OSS. One type looked thicker than the other, the way the collars and lapels folded, but just an illusion I'm sure.

I agree! Thx OSS and Derka for posting the pictures. I wonder how many collectors could resist the urge to embellish one of those plain Jane wraps? Jim

We have departed somewhat from the original focus of the thread (for which I am delighted), but your most recent image brings us back because, if I am not mistaken, the figure on the far right is wearing a (second pattern) mouse grey wrapper:

Agree, the man on this Brummbar wear wear the same suit than the wrap subject of this thread, ie mouse gray 2nd pattern.
            This one too :

But i think this one is more likely a private tailored one :

Imagine if you find such a one on a table in a show, what would be your reaction ?...

Certainly, me too, but what about those ?

I can't even say for sure if the material used is HBT, or denim ?
And of course, for comparizon of atypical suit, those well known of Barfigo's uniform :

Would put my money on denim, but how sensational, keep those images coming Derka!

Also note the fashionably clousure with three buttons on most of them (as is the case with many surviving wraps as well).

Wow the pics on this thread have been truly outstanding. Most are new to me.

I've always loved the look of these white/oatmeal colored wraps. I don't know much more then that. I believe ever white wrap I've seen (maybe except 1) has been a fake. The one white wrap shown above almost looks like it could be wool from the side. That can't be ha,ha. Heres another wrap (I think from Jim Haley). Jim

Sensational wrap Steve showing the new sleeve rank system in use, do you have one of these mouse gray wraps and if so can you bring it to the June Portland show? your choice for your table display this year was a real knock out causing several near broken necks due to shoppers heads spinning!

Great thread gents, all photos are superior! a very interesting thread that warrants pinning!

                            Superb clear pic Steve.
More to illustrate sometimes it is not easy to distinguish for sure wich material is used :

Those two HBT in background have already been shown (#99), here the vertical slit beind the front flaped pocket of trousers is clearly visible on the man on the left :

                              Wow!!
And have you ever seen a wrap worn over a 4 pocket tunic!?!

& Derka, that groupshot with the Jagdpanzer is one happy ride!...just look at all those combinations, THAT is why collecting German uniforms is so much fun!

Derka, you have obviously been scouring the globe for images of HBT/canvas Panzer combinations for some time. I particularly like the images of Stug. crews wearing them. Many thanks for your contributions!
