    M44 shoulder boards question

Please take a look at these shoulder boards. Is hand stitching (marked with red arrows) normal for theses shoulder boards? Most shoulder boards that I have seen had machine stitching in this place. Thanks in advance for answers.

      Straps appear to be original.

        What about hand stitching?

As stated the straps appear to be nice originals. It does not look hand sewn to me, rather it is machined and the stitches are pulling due to fold of the straps.

Take a look at this picture. Shoulder boards No. 2 and 3 obviously have machine (zigzag) stitching. Shoulder boards No. 1 and 4 looks to have hand (?) stitching. So is this normal?

Straps 1 and 4 in the photo you posted are not hand sewn, they are sewn by machine. The differences in that photo between the straps with the zig zag stitching and the other style are minor construction variations from the various manufactures of shoulder straps. Both variations are fine.

Completely normal, simply two different methods of attaching the tongues, both typical wartime practices.
