two M43 cap trapezoids

Hello,

any chance two say if they are repros or originals? The first one
is machine-sewn on a repro officer cap. The second one is hand-sewn (I think post war) on an original M43 cap.
The eagle of the second one has a brighter grey colour and also the green colour is a bit brighter.

I´ve always seen the dark grey eagles before. This is the first
one with a brighter colour. Is it an earlier variation? Has someone
else seen this type?

Is it right, that we have to see the backside of them to be 100% sure?
I consider to cut off the eagle from the repro cap and throw the cap
away.

No you don't have to take them off and see the backsides. They both appear to be original. The lighter color that you see is just another color of thread used in the process. Not all thread was the same color but varied in shades.
