Estate Fresh German badge group, 3 lanyards and more!

    Hi all,

I'm typing this from a seedy Mcdonalds as Lionel Richie plays in the background, just picked these up on my travels by complete accident and thought you guys might like to have a look. These came directly from the vets family, from the box they came in (which the family wanted to keep)- it was a nice surprise to get some original items after being bombarded with fakes!

I think the lanyards are a grade 1, 3 and 9 but no idea, two are maker marked on the back and in great condition. The lot also came with some cloth insignia, a rank patch (what is it?), what I think is a sports eagle off a shirt, buttons, two shoulder boards, "6" and "22" and several army and navy buttons. Let me know what you think!

    Regarding the Army marksmanship lanyards:

Grade 1 with the first pattern shield

    Grade 5

Grade 9-12 shield for the higher grade lanyards

      Thanks Tim,

Can anyone tell me what division or type of unit the shoulder straps are from? I rarely encounter them

On the assumption that I have the colors correct on your shoulder boards, here is what they represent:

Oberfeldwebel, Pioneer Btl 6, 6th Infantry Div.

Oberfeldwebel, Pioneer Btl 22 (motorized), 22 Air Landing Div.

          straps

Both straps are piped in black and are for Pionier Batl. 22 and 6.

            Greetings All,

            Nice pick up!

The boards appear to be piped in dark blue on my monitor. The number 6 board is a Reichswehr version with early Reichswehr Tress and a reseda green base. The other board is Third Reich period piece. Both sew-ins.
The cap eagles are both pretty early 2nd pattern cut and folded white on dark green and a 3rd pattern Grey on dark green uncut. The numbered aluminum buttons are third reich. Number 14 is most likely a Reichswehr button with the steel/zinc back plate. The 2 anchor buttons are standard Coastal Artillery buttons. The specialty patch is for a Heer Armorer! Nice pick-up!!!!

Great Lanyards you don’t see these often with the maker name still visible on the back. These were not worn much.
