I bought a stripped tunic off the Estand earlier this year(http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=580909&page=2[/URL]) and finished adding insignia to it recently, I hope you guys like it. This tunic had a Gefreiter's chevron and an EM/NCO breast eagle when I got it, despite good evidence that this had been an officer's field tunic. I felt that the insignia present was added by another collector at some point, so I've restored it to an officer's field tunic. Here's a before and after:

Here's a nice daylight photo of my tunic with a cap that I also restored. I'm not trying to sell this, and if I do pass it on it will be sold with 100% knowledge that I added the insignia to a stripped tunic. I'm just a young collector and buying a untouched piece like this is out of my range at the moment, so I bought this and added what I think are reasonable and likely insignia. I welcome any comments, even critiques.
Thanks,
Eddie
P.S. Here is the thread for the cap:

You have done a wonderful job Eddie, a nice salty war weary look, and if you ever choose to return it to enlisted it is easily done. one small thing to consider in the future is that most M36 officer tunics, however not all had turned up sleeve cuffs. the ones that did not were mostly modified enlisted tunics.
you can find a few examples here for comparison; http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Heer/05Uniforms.html
Great job Eddie and I for one look forward to seeing your future projects!
Happy Hunting!

Thanks Kevin/Adam!
Hi Kevin, thanks for the info. I had thought that this was a EM upgraded to officer because it was originally a tunic for Der Spiess("piston ring" traces are very visible on the sleeves), so the lack of French Cuffs helps make that case! Glenn's beautiful salty M43 was a good inspiration for me in putting this together. (http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...light=upgraded)
