    Panzer Tab?

Bought a group of patches, and was curious about this tab
Looks like a panzer tab but the piping is a brownish color?
Am I on the right track here or totally wrong?

Sorry no pics of the reverse as the previous owner
stupidly suoer glued... I believe about 30 patches to a board

    Thanks for looking

Appears to be a good early war Panzer collar tab. It would be nice to see the rest of the board.

        hi,

The blue triangular patch is a WWII USAAF specialty patch.

All appear to be nice originals.

You might try submerging the board in clean water. The glue may not be superglue. If it is, there are solvents that will dissolve the glue.

Apart from the glue, it is a pretty nice board

Be very weary of trying to disolve any superglue on cloth. It will most certainly disolve but with then enter the fibre of the cioth itself in its thinned state, harden making the cloth brittle and creating a whitish/ cloudy/ plastic look to the cloth.

If you are going to remove superglue from cloth then you have to razor/ shave/ cut it off.

Either way, the romovable is high risk of serious damage.

Glues older than super glue may come off ok, it depends on the glue and each type must be assessed and tested in its own right,

I'm guessing it's superglue as there is a clear residue
around some of the patches. I might experimented on
a lowly km trade patch first. If at all I would only
want to remove them from the board. I'm not sure how
                  long they've been attatched.
                  Thanks for advice gentlemen

Elmers' glue drys clear and will disolve in water, it will turm white as it softens up. Try soaking one patch in water, it will either work or it will not. Either way, it will not hurt anyting and will just dry back the way it is now, so you really have nothing to loose by trying.

Had good luck with a damp cloth laying over the patches...
I believe it was just elmers glue. Only one fatality and that
was the customs tab, it had cardboard backing and was already in rough shape.

I think the panzer tab had a skull on it at one time and as tunic removed
Lots of black thread, along with the SS tab has some green thread remanents.
