            Richard

I as well wish to express my feelings of the loss of a Good Friend. I've known Richard since the mid 70's, learned a lot from the man about this hobby. Been to his home several times and seen his unbelievable CBI, Naval Aviation, and German Collection.
Saw him last at the SOS. Wasn't till a month or so ago he told me about the tumors. As BenVK stated, we as well joked about it, now, he is gone. I as the others Richard will truly miss your rapier wit! My condolences go out to his Wife and Daughter.
You are in a better place now. RIP Richard. Dave

I knew that he was ill, and was fighting his medical condition with great courage. Yet I am still shocked, and saddened by today's news. God bless you Richard, and God bless your family. You will be sorely missed indeed.

Oops! This should have said "met Richard" I was needless to say a little shook-up when I wrote this.

                Final journey, to a better place . . .

Sorry to hear the news . . . "RichardP" was ALWAYS a great read here [and elsewhere for that matter] . . . I vote this post is to eventually be placed in the "Memorium Forum" . . . IMO, he certainly deserves to be memorialized for all that come here.

RIP, "RichardP" . . . enjoy the climb, on your way to Valhalla . . .

Richard and I were talking about his tumor in recent emails but he joked about it so much, I really didn't realise it was so serious. (...)
He knew he was on borrowed time yet was still cracking jokes and making me laugh.

                      A very brave guy.

I'm really going to miss you Richard, the world is an emptier place without you.
Same thing here Ben, in our last conversation we were making plans to go to the SOS so I figured it wasn't so bad.

WHOEVER LIFTED RICHARD'S SUSPENSION --- THANKS YOU!!!

Hello all I will create a thread on the Memorium Forum for Richard by this weekend.
Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

Sad news--I've known Richard since the 80s and he was a true collector and a great guy. We hadn't spoken for a while when he called regarding the flak he was getting nearly every time he made a post--he told me about his condition at that time and, as many others have commented, did so with a positive attitude. My condolences to your family, Richard, and I hope you're finding good stuff in heaven!
