    So sad......
    I had a lot of contact with Richard over the years. He helped me out with a very good panzer wrap fake recently. I thanked him a lot for that.
    He could his stuff when it came to black panzer tunics.
    I never got the chance to meet him but I only heard positive thinge about Richard.

      I have known Richard since the mid-80's. Did a lot of business with him when he was hardcore into CBI items and flight helmets.
      We didn't always agree on everything, but still sad to hear of his passing.

        Richard;

        God be with you Richard. You always made people stop and think twice about any opinions. You will be very missed. Dirk

            What a brave way to go out while remaining passionate about those things in life that capture and hold our attention outside of those we love.

            Whether or not he rubbed people the wrong way he had an opinion and like his namesake avatar was not opposed to shooting lead in all directions. He helped me on some GD items very early in my collecting days and steered me clear of some bad dealers with some colorful adjectives to describe them. As a new father and recently separated veteran he saved me from a huge financial mistake.

            RIP and thanks for reminding us to live life full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes!

              Richard RIP

              I can not add much to Leroy's post as it is reflects my feelings and knowledge of Richard exactly, as do the others who have posted.

              Richard had a big heart and I have never known him not to try his best to help anyone who asked.....both with collecting and other matters. His knowledge in many collecting areas was/is unsurapssed IMO.

              It was my pleasure to have known him.

                I meet Richard in about 1995 and knew him rather well. I had many great conversations with him, and he was always very helpful, and always ready to lend his opinion in a friendly manner. I knew that he was ill, and was fighting his medical condition with great courage. Yet I am still shocked, and saddened by today's news. God bless you Richard, and God bless your family. You will be sorely missed indeed.

                      Well this is very sad news. I had not heard from him in a while and now it makes sense. He was very passionate about collecting and ever so often he would share pictures of some of his exotic new acquisitions. R.I.P. Richard.

                          Richard Peacher

                          I just received a personal email about his passing. I can say to you all, he was a good friend, and a passionate collector. I am sad to hear of his passing. At our So. Cal. collectors gathering on the 25th of this month in San Diego, we will raise our glasses in a toast, and remember him as we all knew him. Firing from the hip, funny, and smart. God bless Richard and his family. His friend, Smitty
