its a very nice subdued cut off but its certainly not a tropical Heer breast eagle. They are done on tan not green and gray like this. This could have come off of a tropical tunic or any other tunic for that matter. Either way is a nice original cut off. Matt

Agree not tropical, but it might have been on a sudfront tunic. Well faded example and could have been used somewhere sunny.

As it is still attached to a piece of tunic that it was originally sewn to, I agree that looking at the reverse will convince you that it is a standard M-40 eagle on feldgrau wool backing which will not allow you to determine what combat theatre the tunic was worn in. With the exception that it was almost positively not worn in Africa.Comment
