Gentlemen,
I have posted this waffenrock on the estand. The original photos can be viewed here... http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=609624 However, after posting, i was made aware of some discrepancies, and upon further close inspection, i was able to photograph a few details. The pictures start with the eagle, and the inside of the rock where the eagle is not stitched through. Next, i went to the button move detail from front and rear, as well as the loop detail front and rear. Then the left shoulder board, right shoulder board, name tag, then left collar tab and then right collar tab, and on down to the left sleeve tabs and the right sleeve tabs. I then went back up and showed the button hole cover on the shouldboard, and the aiguillette button under the board. Notice that the eagle looks to have been in place for the duration, and the same thread was used for the button move and for reattaching the collar and cuff tabs. This thread is period and does pass the burn test. The collar tabs appear to have painted dark green with some sort of paint. This was done very carefully as i can only tell that it is paint by a trace amount being on the silver bullion of the board in one spot. The secondary color appears to have been either white or light grey at one point. The original pictures can be seen on the link above. Thank you in advance for all ideas.
Sincerely,
Jeremiah
