Newly Aquired: Gebirgsjäger Windjacke

Hello all, just purchased this original windjacke for a great deal. I was wondering in the condition it is in what a "going price" would be for it.




Two others I've seen sell on germanmilitaria.com for $550 (What a steal!) and $895.

I don't have it in hand, and have limited pictures so I cannot say whether or not the Bevo Edelweiß is originally applied, but by seeing the stitch job I highly doubt it is.. but it's not a huge problem for me; just curious.

Does anyone know any leads on where to aquire the boards to match this jacke? I know they are pretty damn rare, so any acceptable/similar replacement in hellgrün would suit me fine.

So a little research has shown that the boards for the windjacke are rarer than cavities in hens teeth. This leaves the only other options being continental boards, or trying to find a good match on some tropical boards, which are pretty pricey.

Either way, any info on the value of the jacke would be swell!

I've got a soft spot for the enlisted men. I thought of offiziers boards, but definately would like to do some standard boards mit waffenfarbe.

Now to get some body forms for these and my rucksacks .

Also, still curious as if anyone could point me in the direction of some hellgrün boards that would match! Velen dank!
