    Uniform ID? Black M40?

What is this? It's not a black Algemeine SS Rock uniform so I did not post it in the SS section.... (or is it a poor attempt to represent one?)
I'ts a black (or black dyed?) closed neck 5 button combat M40 tunic...

The buttons are Assmann M5/8 pebbled silver RZM marked (otherwise plain...so not SS marked!)

Sorry about all the cat hairs...that's how I received it...Any idea? Fake?
    Perhaps para-military?
Seller said it came with an old collection thinking it was possibly a fake Alg.SS.....

Details in cut! First image note seam (non functional, not a slit) under chest pocket flap ???
and the dagger support strap slit was tailored in at a later date (added)...

So what is it? Dyed? TeNo but with wrong buttons? Fake black SS?
Para military? Never had shoulder boards ever!
No cuff titles ever, no maker stamps, no size stamps (or washed out/dyed over?) only traces of collar tabs...
I FOUND SMALL HOLES SO REMOVABLE SCREW-ON TABS???

to me it is a comon, black dyed WH officer M40 tunic with switched buttons.

OK but no traces of it ever having a breast eagle nor shoulderboards EVER...and the collar tab ghost don't match Heer (Army) officers...
After further inspection of the collar area there are 4 holes on each collar which indicate removable (SS style??) "screw on" collar tabs
having been on it at one time??? So I looked at the left cuff and see remnants of threads for a cuff title after all (handstitched on at one time)???

So Algemeine SS after all? Totally wrong cut ... Repro? It's not the proper pre-war Rock style...
                    or war time TeNo?

if the tab and eagle have been removed early after the war, it don t have to leave traces. somebody attached some other insignia to make the tunic look like something what....probably SS, to get a higher value.
The underside of the collar shows the typical moleskin fabric, to me without a doubt, an original early war officer heer tunic. just my opinion.

Not a dyed BGS tunic though, they lack the collar fastener and have French cuffs.

                            You got me wrong

I don't mean that it is a postwar tunic
I mean that is a tunic being dyed postwar

I agree with Frozzer, it is an original M40 tunic, converted for an officer that have been dyed after the war for a civil use.
