Opinions on Officer's Eagle - Replaced?

Does the eagle here appear to be replaced?

Its been moved for sure at some point. I have often wondered if the insignia was removed from Heer officer jackets to get them washed or if you just washed them by hand and didn't take off the tabs, boards and eagles. Seems like they would get ruined if you washed them with the insignia on.... just a random thought. But Eagle has clearly been moved at some point. Matt

I agree, it has been moved or replaced at one time.

My opinion is that it has moved at some point, you can see the shadow of the old eagle.
