    E Stand M-44 Jacket Opinions

Can't say that I care for this one and I have been seeing a few similar ones around for sale recently..http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...80#post5377980

Some of the "parts",markings etc reminds me of this one which I also believe is a copy. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ioneer+wrapper

    Your thoughts please.

    Glenn,

I agree. When I started collecting in the 70s and almost until the late 1990s, M44 tunics were pretty rare to find. Now I see them being posted pretty routinely, with almost all of them blessed as real. They could all be original, it just bothers me. Jim

It is very well made, but it has nothing in its appearance that makes my heart tick faster.

I don't like the marking at all and I don't really care for the wool on a issue tunic like this one and certain parts of the stitching (the eyelets for example).

The eagle I am not comfortable enough with to comment (but I'm not common with this type of green backing)...but if bad, then the machine-stitched application would explain a lot of concerns IMO.

I am currently on the lookout for a m44 and when this one came up, the dissappointment was immediate when I saw the pics. Jacques

The fabric has a very felt-looking appearance to me.

This one does just not seem right either. Not original manufacture.
