    Black Panzer wrapper

    Hello all,

I would greatly appreciate some comments on this wrap. I've got a good feeling but I'm far to be a specialist. The stamps are different from the Holz & Binkowski exemplar posted by member Frozzer on this forum. Is this a red flag? Does the markings rule applies for wraps like it does for example for Berolina side caps? I will let the pictures do the talk.

    Thank you in advance
    Cheers

Is the eagle wool base navy blue? If it is blue it would be most likely for a Navy Official.

I agree KM Admin breast eagle...
I am not a wrapper expert but the bolt cloth (bulk) supplier ink stamp for the cloth maker is an interesting detail and could make it more believable to me ...
or are fakers even adding those as well now?

I agree and am without any doubt about that. I am less convinced that any of the insignia is wartime applied, although I think that it is all original with the possible exception of the boards??

Any comments on the tabs? Are they ok?

I also attach a better shot of the boards for more reviews.

                  Cheers!

please post photo of schoulder without schoulderboards. Photo from inside could be helpfull too.

I think that H&B wraps had boards sewn into arms. Maybe it is uprgaded to officer.

The example shown in post #8 is an Original “HOLZ & BINKOWSKI” wraparound.

Without intending to elaborate, yes Sir from the pictures presented, I could entertain doubts.

so far the negative points I can see are the following:

                            - H&B stamps are different than the ones posted by frozzer
                            - weird belt hooks tabs
                            - double stitching on the collar tabs
                            - Awaiting picture of the shoulder boards area to see if it is a "promoted" wrapper

For the rest I can only welcome comments on particulars and oddities.

                            Best Regards
